Tour to Pakistan Called Off…

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

I guess this would be sad news for the Pakistan Cricket Board and the people of Pakistan because the BCCI has decided to call off the upcoming tour. As a result of the terror attacks in Mumbai last month that sapped the lives of more than 200 people, this decision has been taken by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

There is buzz around the media that the terrorists who were involved in these attacks are from Pakistan. One of the top officials of the BCCI, Mr. Rajeev Shukla, said that team India will not tour to Pakistan considering the overall circumstances that is prevailing at present. Meanwhile the PCB secretary said that they had just received an e-mail from the BCCI stating that India will not tour Pakistan. He termed the decision taken by the BCCI as “disappointing”. He also added that the PCB would lose around 25 million dollars if the tour is to be put off. India was about to play 5 ODI’s, 3 tests and 2 T20 internationals that were scheduled to begin on 3rd of January. The tour was planned to carry on till the 20th of February.

The Indian players will be happy, as they will be relived from continuous cricket at least for the next few weeks. The PCB has decided to continue the schedule with some other team and so they have sent an invitation to the Sri Lankan cricket board and they are eagerly awaiting their nod.

Fantastic Ferrari…

Friday, December 19th, 2008

This post is about my favorite car Ferrari. Ferrari was founded in the year 1947. It is a brand of sports car that is manufactured in Italy. I think most people would love this car not only for its look but also for the technical aspects and the comfort it gives you while driving. I feel very proud, as I own a Ferrari GTB Fiorano that was manufactured in the year 2007.

I am very much interested in automobiles and so I am used to watching formula one racing regularly. I am the biggest fan of Ferrari and I always stand by it. My all time favorite driver is the legend Michael Schumacher. In fact he also drove for Ferrari and had won races and championships many times.

The hottest news is that the Indian IT giant Tata Consultancy Services and Ferrari have entered into an agreement. TCS has assured them of providing a compact and enhanced technology. As a part of it, the logo of the company bearing the name TCS will feature on the Ferrari F-1 racing car in the 2009 Formula one season. Ferrari has won the constructor championship for 16 times in the F-1 racing. No other teams participating in this event has achieved this feet. Ferrari rocks…

Tips to protect your PC…

This post gives you the basic information on computer hacking. Hacking is basically an unauthorized access to a computer or a network of computers and it also means simply entering a specific computer or a network without permission. How do people enter like this?

Most hacking involves the use of the protocols. Even a home computer can be used to host a website. A computer that acts as a host uses HTTP and FTP for transfer of file across the Internet. A computer that is simply connected to the web will be given a separate Internet Protocol address. Some of the computer’s default settings may allow the disclosure of all these addresses and we are unaware of it until we are affected. In some of the sites there are some utilities that assist in hacking.

In order to protect our computer from being hacked we should use a firewall so that it prevents the sending of data and the address to unauthorized sites. The password that we set for e-mail or any other Internet based account should be very long and obscure. I think I have given some useful information to the readers on how to prevent your computers from being hacked.

One Love…

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Love, to me is a word that cannot be defined. It is something which every living thing can feel but unfortunately cannot see it. Love can exist between a man and a woman, a guy and a girl; child and its parents, between pets, animals etc., and some people say love means showing care and affection on others.

Some say love is to help the poor. But in most cases love is applied in interpersonal relation as in friends or within families. You may wonder as to why am saying all these things.

It is just because am in love with a girl who looks the same way that I had fancied in my childhood days. I have always felt that the basic purpose of me entering this world is her. I personally feel that nothing in this world can be compared with her. She is the angel of the angels. I am into this amazing relation for more than 3 years now. Love is the only thing in this planet that can be felt but cannot be bought. You can understand the real meaning of your life only if you are in love…

Importance of Electricity…

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Electrical energy is a one without which the world cannot suvive. Electrical energy cannot occur naturally in a usable form and therefore it must be generated centrally and it should be transported beyond the state or the national boundaries. It cannot be stored in large quantities for any major use. It can be generated in many forms. Some of them are by using coal or oil, from running water etc., Electrical energy can also be obtained from chemical but it can be used for only a limited time.

Electricity is used widely in all sectors including industrial, manufacturing, information technology, domestic purposes, commercial etc. Because of the increase in industrial production, new products and new home appliances, the demand for electricity is high. It is mainly occurring in the developing nations that are trying to cope up with the developed nations.

The usage of electricity in the world is growing at a rate of 7% per year. This data implies us that if this rate continues then the demand will be doubled every 10 years. Therefore methods to conserve electrical energy and to proper utilization should be enforced.

Some of you might have found the answer to my previous post and for the others here it is. The person I am talking about is none other than ‘Padma Shri’ Dr.Kamal Haasan.

I feel that he is the one who has taken the Tamil cinema to a greater height. He was married to actor Sarika and they gave birth to Akshara Haasan and Shruthi Haasan. He divorced Sarika and now he lives with Gouthami, one of the leading actors of yester years. His teacher in the cine field is K Balachander. They both have done many projects together and each one was a stepping stone in the actor’s career.

He owns a production company named ‘RaajKamal Films International” which has produced many of his films. His upcoming projects are ‘Thaalaivan irukkiran’ and ‘Marmayogi’ which is likely to be shot in three of the Indian languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. His movie titled ‘Nayagan’ was selected by Time magazine and it is listed in one of the ‘All time 100 movies’.

Guess who…???

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

In this post I would like to share about my favorite actor the world can ever see. He was born on 7th of November in a small town named Paramkudi. He appeared on screen when he was aged 6. He is the only actor to be awarded with 4 National Awards in 2 different categories. He was awarded the National Award in the best child artist category in his maiden attempt. He was then awarded 3 National Awards in the best actor category later in his career. I think I had enough clues to find out who he is. He is an atheist and most of his movies reveal his character and nature.

His fans refer him to as the ‘Universal hero’. If you still can’t find out here are some more facts. Apart from acting he is also an expert in story and screenplay writing, directing, lyricist, singing and choreographer. He is only actor in the world who appeared in 10 different roles in a movie. The previous best was 8 characters done by Eddie Murphy. If you have not come out with the answer yet please keep an eye on my blog.

England returns to India…

Friday, December 5th, 2008

The English players have decided to tour India for the 2 match test series that is likely to be played in Chennai from the 11th of this month. They have been promised tighter security because of the last week’s terror attacks. The English players were on a 72-hour discussion with the security personnel and the Government officials before they decided to travel for India. The ECB announced that the players will leave for Abu Dhabi on Thursday and they will play a warm up game at the Abu Dhabi cricket club. The team for the touring side will be the same except for Stuart Broad who is carrying an injury, announced the ECB. Meanwhile the ECB’s Chief Security Officer Mr. Reg Dickason visited the stadium in Chennai and he reported that he was quite convinced with the security arrangements.

The TNCA Joint Secretary said that the practice sessions would go on in the main stadium and the media persons may not have an access for it and if situation demands they would be given a separate stand. Mr. Dickason also reviewed the venue for the 2nd test yesterday in Mohali and he is about to submit his report to the ECB.

Statutory Warning…

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

In this post, I would like to share how I got addicted to cigarettes and how I regret for the same. When I was in my junior college I started to roam around the city with my mates. At that time we used to go to restaurants, beach, park, theaters etc. We came across different kinds of people from the young, to the old the oldest. We sort of inculcated some of the best things from them, which in turn lead to a happy and a peaceful life. But we also tasted things, which we had never dreamt of in the earlier part of our life. The end of our junior college was nearing. I, with my gang of friends went to attend a birthday party of our dearest pal. There, seven of them including me just shared a single cigarette. From that day onwards we chose a place that was deserted. We bought one cigarette for one person and the highlight here is that we spent nearly triple the amount for mouth refreshers. We all started this as an enjoyment and we used to do it to pass time but this has become a habit and we all got addicted to it. We are trying to come out of it because we have had enough of it and we also know the serious consequences that we had to face in our later stage. My kind request to all of you is that, never even think of opting to smoke or if you have tasted it already try to eradicate that habit so that you can live in this wonderful world for a longer period of time.
